Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah

Explore One of Morocco’s Most Impressive Kasbahs

Located over the pass of the Atlas Mountains from Marrakech, Ouarzazate is home to one of the most magnificent still-standing examples of the ksars from past days. A ksar is a group of buildings made of earth that are all bound together within one set of defensive walls, and this particular one, Ait-Ben-Haddou, is a UNESCO-protected World Heritage Site. Ait-Ben-Haddou was a main trading post on the route from Sudan to Marrakech. In the more recent past, it has been the setting for many movies, including Lawrence of Arabia.

On this trip, we will transport you to Ouarzazate and Ait-Ben-Haddou. Our guide will give you a private tour through the old walled city. This picturesque location will be sure to keep your camera busy, so come prepared!

Once we have toured Ait-Ben-Haddou, we can find a nice spot for lunch and tea in the city as you prefer. Depending on time, we may also have the opportunity to visit the movie studios located in Ouarzazate.

Let us know what your interests are when booking this tour, so we can be sure to plan your perfect day. The trip to Ouarzazate takes approximately 4 hours each way, so this will be a very full day but well worth it!

Essaouira Day  Trip

Experience the Lovely Beach Town of Essaouira

Essaouira is a small fishing town on the Atlantic coastline that used to be under Portuguese control and now serves as a place to unplug and relax. Life is a little bit slower here, with the sun and waves giving a relaxed atmosphere to the town. The town’s buildings are mainly white-washed with blue shutters, creating a classic Mediterranean feel while still having the medina typical of Moroccan cities.

On your day trip here, you will have the option to enjoy the beach, explore the medina shops and old fortress, and have lunch at the local fish restaurants that serve fish fresh-caught straight from the sea.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech, transport you to Essaouira, and then start with a guided tour of the town. From here, you’ll be free to take part in whichever aspect of the Essaouira experience sounds most appealing:

Get lost wandering the small walled medina and fortress

Take part in the traditional spa practice of hammam (reservation required in advance)

Enjoy the many cafes and restaurants on the water

Simply relax on the beach!

The trip to Essaouira takes approximately 3 hours each way. We will pick you up at your Marrakech hotel in the morning and drop you back at night. The timing is flexible; this is your day to enjoy!

Marrakech City Tour

Marrakech Full-Day City Tour

Marrakech is a vibrant city pulsing with activity, vendors, local goods, historical sites, and beautiful palaces. With so much to see and do, we suggest making your experience as relaxed and informative as possible by taking our full-day guided tour around the city.

Our guide will work with you to arrange an itinerary that best suits your interests and your energy level for how much to fit into one day.

A good place to start will be in the famous Djemaa en Fna Square, which is the center of all action in Marrakech. Snake charmers, cafes, fresh orange juice, and fruit vendors fill the space during the day. At night, the square turns into an open-stall dining experience.

From here, we can visit historical sites such as the Bahia Palace, Badii Palace, and Ben Youssef Medersa to see the splendid mosaics and grandeur of past days.

We’ll help you navigate the narrow, winding streets of the Souks area, seeing the local vendors in action making things like shoes, leather goods, and Argan oil, and doing some shopping or just learning from their techniques. There are many spice markets along the way to see as well.

A visit to the famous Marjorelle Gardens is always a lovely respite from the busy medina.

If there is something not listed here that you would like to be part of the tour, please email us, and we are happy to accommodate!
